Islamic Marriage (Nikah)

“And of His signs is that He created for you mates from your own selves that you may take comfort in them, and He ordained affection and mercy between you. There are indeed signs in that for a people who reflect.” (Quran 30:21)

A ‘Nikah’ Islamic marriage contract according to Islamic Law is performed at Wembley Central Masjid.

The Nikah ceremony will be performed by the appointed Imams (Muslim Ministers) of Wembley Central Masjid.

Requirements/Documents

• Original copy of the Civil Marriage Certificate
• You MUST complete a civil marriage ceremony prior to the Nikah at their local council register office.
• Fill out the Islamic Marriage (Nikah) booking form.
• Valid current Passport of Bride and Groom.
• Proof of Address for Bride and Groom.
• Conversion Certificate if applicable to either Bride or Groom.
• If names have been changed the original copy of the Deed Poll
• If the bride has previously been married, then an Islamic divorce certificate/ Decree Absolute is required.
• Widow or Widowers former spouses Death Certificate

Fee Structure

£100 – If Nikah is conducted at Wembley Central Masjid

£150 – If Nikah is conducted at another venue.

Note:

• Nikah should be booked at least four weeks prior to the requested date.
